My Fave Songs!

I'm a huge music fan! And like all you guys out there, I also happen to have particular songs that I go gaga whenever I hear them! It's like an addiction. I can't get enough of that song.

And so, this is five of my most favorite songs in all of the animal kingdom, in no particular order! I hope we have some songs in common! Enjoy!

1. Drowning In Your Eyes by Ephraim Lewis - This song leaves me speechless! Every damn time! I ordered this from the states, and his first album was sold out! (Did he have another album out? I heard he died after the release of this album.) Luckily, I was browsing in the local record shop, and there it was! Three copies left in all of the world! (I'm exaggerating!) I'm so blessed.

2. Someday We'll Know by The New Radicals - This was a very close tie with another song of the group, but this song just blows me away. It's hypnotic and it's honest. I can't believe this song hurts to the core!

3. Mysterious Ways by U2 - This is U2's massive hit before they became techno. The song is an enigma, as critics call it the genesis of their disco tracks. I for one, don't care! I listen to it and it just blows my mind! Well, what's left of it.

4. Tears by The Chameleons - It's just coincidence! The song is I think the group's only big hit. I also tracked down the album and found one! Last copy! Wow! But the melody is catchy, the mood is somber, the lyrics are fresh up to this day. I'm never a big fan of the new wave era, but this song is an exception.

5. Ava Adore by The Smashing Pumpkins - I've enjoyed almost the albums of the Pumpkins! This, for me, is their most experimental! A direct influence from Depeche Mode (well, legend has it that they saw Depeche Mode's concert and was greatly inspired for their lack of a drummer!) this is one of their darkest songs. Even the band changed their look into Goth starting with this album! I love this song. Ironic that it's a love song! But it leaves me begging for more!

There you have it. Five of my favorite songs! What's yours?
